Grand Master Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa has made India proud. The 18-year-old became only the second Indian, after Viswanathan Anand, to reach the final of the FIDE World Cup, held in Baku, Azerbaijan. He played against the world’s number one, Magnus Carlsen. Though Praggnanandhaa may have fallen short of becoming the youngest Chess World Cup champion, the Indian prodigy has captured the attention of the chess world with his remarkable skills.
Tears of joy rolled down the face of her mother Nagalakshmi, as her son created history. Several photographs, which captured the emotional moments gained immense popularity on the internet. In a widely circulated picture on social media, Nagalakshmi is seen smiling and admiring her son, who was giving an interview. Another snapshot spotted her with tears of joy. People lauded Nagalakshmi for being a strong pillar of support behind Praggnanandhaa.

While the internet is not tired of praising R. Praggnanandhaa for his achievements, Amul did something special to honour his mother with their new topical.
In the image, Amul showcased a graphic representation of the grand chess master R. Praggnanandhaa and his mother. The player was shown sitting at a chess table, and enjoying some bread and butter. His mother can be seen standing beside him. Amul’s wordplay read, “Grand Maa Ster!” at the top and “BonaFIDE Taste!” at the bottom of the poster. In their caption, the Indian dairy brand wrote, “#Amul Topical: R. Praggnanandhaa’s mother contributes quietly to his success in chess.”
The Instagrammers also participated in Amul’s wordplay for their Tropicals. One of them commented: “The Master is now satisFIDE with your thoughtful & unique content (just thevway, from day one).” While some called Amul’s Tropical “awesome illustration”, a user termed it “too punny.”

Take a look at Amul’s topical below:
Amul always seizes the opportunity to celebrate India’s major achievements through their creative topicals. Days ago, when India’s Chandrayaan 3 successfully landed on the moon, Amul dedicated a topical to honour ISRO’s efforts and historic achievement. Their animated post depicted Amul’s mascot, dressed as an astronaut, holding a victory flag and standing beside Chandrayaan 1. For the unversed, Chandrayaan 1 was India’s first lunar mission in 2008. The text on top of the poster playfully said, “Chaar chaand lag gaye!” and at the bottom, they wrote, “Amul over the moon.” “We thank the ISRO team for their continuous service to take India to greater heights. #Chandrayaan3,” Amul captioned the post.
